This discussion is great and highlights what happened to me recently while running an in-house Color Accounting workshop session for a client. We did the 3 modules of Colour Accounting and the participants really took to the material. They picked it…

We have strong feelings about PowerPoint at Accounting Comes Alive. Mostly we are averse to it. PowerPoint brings new meaning to the 'bully' in bully pulpit. It allows a presenter to overbearingly dominate an audience and an agenda. It shifts the ba…

Peter, this is really awesome! I have been crafting my testimonial. The training was awesome. I am even looking at Quickbooks through new eyes! You are a miracle worker. Now it will be my turn.

On another note, Jenny rocks! Carole did a fantastic job in finding you the right fit. I can see her taking off and flying at the speed of sound. Talk to you soon. Tina

If you find anything others might enjoy, please share it, or if you have a question, feel free to ask. Also, you can answer questions others may have. Finally, if you have a testimonial for Color Accounting training (you may remember it as Accounting Comes Alive) please feel free to add it to the forum. cheers, Mark Robilliard

But it was a very useful reminder to look further back for more fundamental causes of what we observe. The title Root Cause Analysis was new to me but one that I a… Continue

The London Tube as a Barometer of the Recession?

I was on the London Underground with the Michaela Sulke-Trezek, the Head of Accounting Comes Alive Europe. We were on our way from London City Airport to Piccadilly Circus, returning from some meetings in Frankfurt. She suddenly looked over to me and said "Look at this... it's good news". Not sure what she was referring to at first, I realized that it was about 8pm and we were at Canary Wharf in the Docklands. That's the stop where all the investment bankers from Morgan Stanley et al get on. Mic… Continue
